Video: Apollon’s Wheel

Enjoy these two videos from the 2005 Arnold Strongman Classic as some of the strongest, but not drug free, guys in the world take a crack at lifting Apollon’s Wheel.

The Apollon’s Wheel is a barbell that resembles two train wheels welded to a thick bar for a total weight of 366 lbs. Contestants with lift the wheels overhead as many times as possible within in certain time limit.

The Wheel was named after strongman Louis Uni, aka Apollon, a 19th century French strongman known for his grip strength.
